BOSTON — A special at-bat for two teams with an unfortunate connection is set for Saturday afternoon at Fenway Park.

The ALS Awareness Game, between Boston College and North Carolina State, will raise money for the Pete Frates Number 3 Fund.

Frates was a baseball captain at BC, but North Carolina’s former standout player Chris Combs was also diagnosed with ALS at a young age.

The two teams are working together to raise money for the fund and help support research into the disease to find a cure.

Tickets to the game are just $10. You can buy them at RedSox.com/alsgame.
