LOS ANGELES, Calif. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Lauren Bacall, one of the leading ladies from Hollywood's "Golden Age," died Tuesday, TMZ reports.
The actress, who was 89, suffered a massive stroke on Tuesday morning, according to the site.
Bacall acted in a number of Hollywood classics, including "The Big Sleep," "Key Largo," "How to Marry a Millionaire," and "Sex and the Single Girl." In many of her early films, she played across from movie star Humphrey Bogart, who she was married to in 1945. They were together until his death in 1957.
"With deep sorrow, yet with great gratitude for her amazing life, we confirm the passing of Lauren Bacall," Bogart's estate wrote Tuesday night.
She married Jason Robards in 1961, though they divorced in 1969. She had three children.
