BILLERICA, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 5-year-old was injured after falling from a window in Billerica.
Police say the boy fell at about 2:20 p.m. from a second story window at his home located at 17 Arcadia Road.
"They lowered the bottom half of the window down, but the child climbed over that and ended up falling out of the window," Lt. Matthew Battcock said.
The child was transported by ambulance and then helicopter to Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Billerica Fire Captain Steven Jenkins said the child was conscious while being transported and the child suffered no obvious head trauma. The boy did have some back injuries, Jenkins said, and hospital staff were checking him for internal injuries.
No other information was immediately released.
