BILLERICA, Mass. — The Middlesex County District Attorney confirms for Boston 25 News that a fourth person has died after a crash at the LynnWay Auto Auction.
The crash happened on May 3 when a driver in his 70’s without a valid license was moving a Jeep and ended up crashing through a wall and hitting at least a dozen people.
The latest victim has been identified as Elliott Rowlands Jr., 50, of Buzzards Bay.
Rowlands had been at the Lahey Clinic since the crash.
"This remains an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, the Billerica Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police CARS unit," the DA's office said in a statement.
Brenda Lopez, 48, of Rhode Island, and Pantaleon Santos, 49, of Rhode Island, were pronounced dead at the scene. Leezandra Aponte, 36, of Lowell, was transported to Lahey Hospital where she was later pronounced dead on the day of the crash.
