2 arrested for fatal shooting outside Dorchester high school

BOSTON — Two people have been arrested for the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old outside his high school in Dorchester.

"There's no justice. Just because they got somebody and they are in custody there is no justice because my little brother is still dead," said Latasha Allen, Raekwon Brown's sister.

Raekwon Brown was shot near the Sun Pizza on Washington Street around 1 p.m. on June 8. Three others suffered minor injuries.

Police said Jonathan Aguasvivas, 23, of Brighton and Benzy Bain, 24, of Roslindale, were arrested Wednesday on warrants charging them with Brown's murder. Investigators said camera footage and other digital evidence contributed to the arrests.

Police previously said the shooting was over a disagreement between Brown and the suspects. Sources tell FOX25 that Aguasvivas is no stranger to street violence.

In 2015, Aguasvivas was inside the car involved in a Roxbury traffic stop when Boston police officer John Moynihan was shot in the face. Moynihan survived, and Aguasvivas was not charged in that incident.

Aguasvivas and Bain were ordered held without bail Wednesday in court.

"It's still hurtful. It's not done and over with though, it's just the beginning," said Allen.

Brown was finishing up his senior year at Jeremiah Burke High School.
