Police are investigating after a car struck a pedestrian in Ipswich Saturday.
Ipswich Police say they received a call around 4 p.m. about a person on Central Street at the intersection of Mineral Street that was struck while in the crosswalk.
When police arrived at the scene, they learned that a group of kids were on Central Street about to use the crosswalk, and when a 13-year-old Ipswich boy stepped into the crosswalk, a car failed to stop and hit him.
The 13-year-old's injuries weren't deemed to be life-threatening, and he was taken in an ambulance to an area hospital.

The driver of the car, a 35-year-old Rowley man, stayed on scene, and he was cited by police for failure to yield for a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
Police are investigating the incident, but don't believe speed or alcohol were factors.
