PEABODY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A multiple-car crash that included a rollover on Route 128 in Peabody killed one driver Monday afternoon.
The crash happened southbound near the I-95 split just after 3 p.m. A tow truck rolled over, ejecting the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, according to police.
That 43-year-old man, whose name was not released, was killed. His 65-year-old passenger was trapped in the truck and suffered serious injuries.
Two other cars were also involved.
128 southbound was completely shut down for 30 minutes, snarling rush hour traffic in the area.
State Police are investigating exactly what caused the crash.
