BRAINTREE (MyFoxBoston.com / AP) - Police say one person was killed and three others injured in a four-car crash in Braintree.
The crash occurred just after 7 p.m. Sunday on Quincy Avenue in front of the Pan Asia Restaurant.
According to police 36-year-old Daniel Karimi of Brockton was driving southbound at speeds near 100 mph when he lost control and hit an oncoming car.
The driver and passenger in that car were taken to South Shore hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
After hitting the first car, Karimi's vehicle spun around an hit a second vehicle. The driver of that vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Fire Capt. Jim O'Toole said Karimi and was driving a compact car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was shut down for about four hours while officers investigated and cleared the scene.
According to a report from police, Karimi's family lives in Kenya and has been notified of his death.
