LAKEVILLE, Mass. — One person died and several other were injured when two motorcycles and a vehicle crashed in Lakeville Sunday morning.
Police said the crash happened on Route 18 near Tamarack Park. One of the motorcyclists, a 77-year-old man, died on scene. A 74-year-old woman, who was a motorcycle passenger, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital via MedFlight. The second motorcyclist, a 53-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital. The driver of the car, a 56-year-old female, was taken to Morton Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by the Massachusetts State Police. Middleboro Police and Fire, Freetown Police and Fire, Plymouth County Sheriff's Department, and Massachusetts State Police assisted with the investigation, scene, and Med Flight evacuation.
