BOSTON — Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents made a usual find at Boston Logan International Airport last week.
A person tried to bring an airbag on a plane Friday.
"Airbags are basically inflated using a small explosive actuator," the TSA said in a statement. "These actuators are a big no-no!"
Another person also tried to bring an airbag on a plane Saturday at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
Airbags are not allowed in carry-on or checked bags.
The TSA added, "Hot tip – modern aircraft have all the security features you need to ensure a safe trip."
In addition to the airbag, TSA agents at Logan Airport on Thursday also discovered a loaded 9mm Glock, with a round chambered, in a carry-on bag.
