Mindy Kaling has a lot to celebrate.
In addition to co-starring in “A Wrinkle in Time” directed by Ava DuVernay, landing the cover of Time magazine and co-starring in the upcoming heist film “Oceans 8,” the actress is a new mother.
E! News reported that Kaling welcomed a daughter, named Katherine Kaling, Dec. 15. It was reported in July that the 38-year-old actress was expecting her first child.
The typically private star has not revealed the identity of the child’s father.
Kaling confirmed her pregnancy in an August interview, saying she was "really excited" about becoming a mother.
“It’s so unknown to me. I have a lot of control over a lot of aspects of my life, and this is one where I’m like, ‘OK, it’s out of my hands,’ which is kind of a fun feeling,” she said.
