6 times you saw Ludacris on the big screen before 'Empire'

Rapper Ludacris is just one of the many celebrities set to appear in “Empire” this season.

In photos posted on his Instagram account, Ludacris dons what appears to be a police officer’s uniform while standing with Terrence Howard, who plays Lucious Lyon in the hit show.It’s unclear whether Ludacris will play a crooked cop, a standup man of the law or an ally of one of the Lyons’. Either way, we can’t wait to see him as Officer McKnight!

Though you may be more used to hearing the “Stand Up” rapper’s voice, you might’ve also seen his face in one of the following movies:

No Strings Attached (2011)
Ludacris plays Wallace, a friend of Ashton Kutcher's character, Adam. In this movie, two friends try to maintain a strictly physical relationship before learning that they have deeper feelings for each other.

Gamer (2009)
Ludacris plays Humanz Brother in this sci-fi film about a future mind-controlling game.

Ludcris plays Lt. Jim Bravura, a deputy police chief with the NYPD and a man on the hunt for Max Payne.

Hustle & Flow (2005)
Ludacris debuts as Skinny Black, acting alongside Terrence Howard, a struggling pimp in search of a career in music.

Crash (2004)
Here he plays Anthony, a young black man with many of his own stereotypes in a film that navigates labels in society.

Fast & Furious series
Ludacris plays a recurring role as Tej, the tech guy that plays a key part in the operations of each mission.

Ludacris has also appeared in television series such as Being Mary Jane and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
