TEMPERATURES
We’ll remain hot both Friday and Saturday with high temps reaching the upper 80s to around 90 both days. Humidity will be on the lower end Friday, just a tad higher Saturday (and Sunday) as dewpoints rise from the 50s to around 60. The beaches will run a little cooler each day with sea breezes.
Temperatures on Sunday look slightly cooler as a cold front slides through southern New England. Expect highs in the lower 80s.
Onshore wind will knock us back in the the 70s Monday ahead of another warm up next week.
WEEKEND SHOWERS - WEATHER ALERT
Neither day is a washout! In fact, mostly dry weather will rule both Saturday and Sunday. With that said, a few storms will pop up each day.
Saturday will start dry and even partly sunny. Clouds will increase first north and west of Boston. Hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms will pop up in NH, ME, and VT during the early afternoon, but the risk for storms won’t drop into MA until late afternoon and evening. A line of storms is expected to pass through southern New England from the northwest to southeast between 6 PM and midnight (around 1-2 hours of stormy weather in any one town). Severe weather is possible with damaging wind gusts and hail on top of localized downpours and lightning.
Sunday is trending drier and even a little brighter with some morning sun. Count on partly cloudy skies in the afternoon with a few showers moving from north to south - the best chance will extend from coastal eastern MA and NH with drier conditions anticipated across the interior.
