CHICAGO — The New England Patriots have selected defensive back and kick returner Cyrus Jones with the 60th selection in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Jones returned four punts for touchdowns during his final season with the Crimson Tide in 2015 while also playing cornerback for the national champions.
The Patriots traded the 61st selection to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for the 78th pick and the 112th pick in this year's draft.
Jones, 5'10" and 197 pounds, intercepted two passes in 2015, including one in the Cotton Bowl against Michigan State in the College Football Playoffs.
