Patriots center David Andrews has reportedly been hospitalized with blood clots in his lungs, putting his ability to play in the 2019-2020 season into question.
Jeff Howe of the Athletic was the first to report the injury news. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network and Mike Reiss of ESPN also reported the story shortly afterward.
As @jeffphowe first reported, Patriots starting center David Andrews was hospitalized with blood clots in his lungs and his season is jeopardy, a source confirms. Earlier today, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels referenced how Tom Brady would be working with different centers.

Andrews is expected to miss a significant portion of the upcoming season, which kicks off on September 8 against Pittsburgh.

The University of Georgia product was undrafted coming out of college, but has played four seasons in the NFL with New England. He's been a member of two Super Bowl-winning teams in 2016 and 2018.
