Firehouse Friday: Uxbridge Fire Department

UXBRIDGE, Mass. — Ready for anything and everything – even bringing a new baby into the world!

Time and time again we see firefighters go above and beyond the call of duty.  They must always be prepared for anything and everything, including bringing new life into the world.

Last month two paramedics from the Uxbridge Fire Department were called on to deliver a baby en route to the hospital.  Lt. Roger Lavalle and Firefighter/Paramedic Lillian Hampton delivered a happy and healthy little boy that night.  The family is very grateful for the paramedics that night as they welcomed their third bundle of joy. Hampton tells us that she was impressed and proud of how baby William’s parents handled the situation.  A few weeks after the delivery, the whole family went to the station with lunch to thank the team.

It’s experiences like these that the firefighters and paramedics at the Uxbridge Fire Department realize the appreciation their community has for them.  The team at Uxbridge Fire Department is great and work really hard to stay up to date with training to ensure they are prepared for anything they might be called to do.

Thank you to the Uxbridge Fire Department for all that you do for the community to keep us safe!
