BOSTON — The Franklin Park Zoo is welcoming a few new animals this summer, including Foles the goat – named for Philadelphia’s Super Bowl winning quarterback.
The newborn Foles got his name because of a bet between Zoo New England the Philadelphia Zoo.
We don’t kid around when it comes to Super Bowl bets … so today, we make good on our wager with @phillyzoo & introduce you to Foles, the 2-week-old Nigerian dwarf goat at #FPZoo!

“Foles the goat is the adorable fulfillment of that bet,” Zoo New England said in a press release. “Though we all know that Tom Brady is the real GOAT.”
Foles, a Nigerian dwarf goat, joins the zoo family alongside a 2-year-old male Masai giraffe named Chad and a snow leopard named Himal.
Hello, handsome! Himal, a male #SnowLeopard, made his exhibit debut with female, Kira, this spring at #StoneZoo. Himal’s arrival is the result of a breeding recommendation through @zoos_aquariums Snow Leopard #SpeciesSurvivalPlan.
