ARLINGTON, Mass. — A woman who escaped Nazi Germany now says she’s being targeted by hate mail.
The 84-year-old woman had a letter to the editor recently published by the Boston Globe criticizing Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke for his support of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Several days later she received a letter in the mail that had been sent anonymously from Boston with a KKK symbol on the envelope.
Arlington police said they are investigating the incident and have deployed extra patrols in the area.
The woman did not want to speak on camera, but neighbors say they can’t believe this would happen.
“Freedom of speech, you think you could say something and have your voice heard without this happening. That’s so scary that people are really treating each other this way,” a neighbor said.
