Watch: Brush fire creates 'fire tornado'

CORNELIUS, Ore. — A "fire tornado" was captured on camera as crews were fighting a brush fire Friday afternoon in Cornelius, Oregon.

Before 2:30 p.m., crews responded to a field fire at the intersection of NW Cornelius Schefflin Road and NW Verboort Road, about 25 miles outside of Portland.

During the fire the Cornelius Fire Department captured a "fire tornado."

Crews put out the fire about an hour later. It had burned seven acres.

No structures were damaged, and there were no injuries reported.

Officials said the fire appears to have been caused by farming equipment that was cutting the field.
