BOSTON — A person was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car on Washington Street in Boston Monday morning, according to police.
Police were on the street all morning investigating the hit-and-run.
Washington Street was shut down between Thorndike and East Lenox, but reopened shortly before 6.
We know that one person was taken to the hospital, but police weren't able to say anything else.
Investigators were on scene Monday morning trying to piece together the events leading up to a person being hit along Washington Street.

We saw detectives with flashlights walking in the street combing every inch for clues.
An MBTA employee who happened to be driving and came across the road block, got out and spoke to police.
She said buses will have to be re-routed while the stretch of Washington Street was closed -- that includes the Silver Line.
