U2's 'Joshua Tree' tour to hit Gillette Stadium in June

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Gillette Stadium will be rocking this summer with the legendary sounds of U2.

The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 will begin in May in the United States before heading to Europe starting in July.

U.S. tour stops include a June 25 stop in Foxborough and a headlining show at Bonaroo Music Festival.

During each show, the band will play the entirety of their fifth studio album The Joshua Tree, which was released 30 years ago in 1987.

The Joshua Tree included some of U2’s most popular songs, including “With or Without You", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" and "Where The Streets Have No Name”.

"Recently I listened back to The Joshua Tree for the first time in nearly 30 years, it's quite an opera. A lot of emotions which feel strangely current, love, loss, broken dreams, seeking oblivion, polarisation, all the greats... I've sung some of these songs a lot, but never all of them. I'm up for it, if our audience is as excited as we are, it's gonna be a great night,” US frontman Bono said.

At the Gillette Stadium stop, U2 will be joined by The Lumineers. Tickets for the show will go on sale Jan. 17.
