Champ and Major, along with first lady Jill Biden, appear in a public service announcement about mask-wearing during the event, which airs on Super Bowl Sunday.

The show, a beloved piece of alternative programming, can be seen on Discovery+ and Animal Planet at 2 p.m. ET, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The two German shepherds sit next to the first lady at the White House as she speaks about the importance of wearing face coverings, CBS News reported.

“For a lot of us during this pandemic, our pets have been such a source of joy and comfort,” Biden says in the video, with the two German Shepherds by her side. “And maybe a bark or two on a video conference.”

“The unconditional love from a dog is one of the most beautiful things on Earth, and we owe it to them to keep ourselves healthy,” Biden says. “So, please keep wearing your masks, even when you’re out walking your dog.”

The PSA ends with a bark and directs viewers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for more information about COVID-19, CBS News reported.

>> Martha Stewart, Snoop Dogg to host Puppy Bowl

The first lady and President Joe Biden adopted Major from the Delaware Humane Association. He is believed to be the first shelter dog to live in the White House, according to CNN.

The goal of the Puppy Bowl is to expand awareness about how shelter pets deserve a second chance and should be adopted, CNN reported. This year’s event features 70 adoptable puppies from 22 animal shelters across the Northeast.

Martha Stewart and rapper Snoop Dogg will host this year’s Puppy Bowl and will bring their dogs to compete for the Lombarky Trophy.

Stewart, representing “Team Ruff,” and Snoop Dogg, who will direct “Team Fluff,” will also make food and drinks for the event.

Stewart’s French bulldogs, Creme Brulee and Bete Noire, as well as her Chow Chows, Empress Qin and Emperor Han, and Snoop Dogg’s French bulldogs Juelz Broadus and Chalk, will compete in the event.
