Durant, who helped Golden State win back-to-back NBA titles in 2017 and 2018 and led the Warriors to this year's NBA Finals, announced his decision on Instagram in a post that was set to a track by Brooklyn rapper Notorious B.I.G., The New York Times reported.

Durant, a 10-time All-Star, is likely to miss the 2019-2020 season after rupturing his Achilles' tendon during Game 5 of this year's NBA Finals three weeks ago, the newspaper reported. His contract is expected to be a four-year, $164 million deal, ESPN reported.

Irving is expected to sign a four-year deal worth $141 million, according to ESPN. The six-time All-Star is an eight-year veteran who has played the last two seasons with the Boston Celtics.
