LOS ANGELES — Rick Schroder, the actor who became a child star billed as Ricky Schroder on “Silver Spoons,” has been arrested for the second time in 30 days on suspicion of domestic violence, according to reports.
TMZ reported that the 49-year-old actor was arrested early Wednesday. Juanita Navarro, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, told The Hollywood Reporter he was taken into jail on suspicion of domestic violence around 12:30 a.m.
"When deputies arrived, they made contact with the suspect (identified as Richard Schroder) and the victim," Navarros said in a statement to USA Today. "They identified evidence of a physical altercation. The female adult victim declined medical treatment."
According to TMZ, the victim is Schroder's girlfriend.
Navarro said the former “NYPD Blue” actor was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic abuse last month, allegedly against the same victim.
"A similar incident occurred between the suspect and the victim on April 2, 2019, at approximately 12:26 in the morning, where suspect Schroder was released on bond," she told USA Today. THR reported that bond was $50,000, according to records.
Schoder remains in jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, Navarro said.
A representative for Schroder has not commented on the arrest.
