WARWICK, Rhode Island (MyFoxBoston.com) --Nicholas Rovinski was arrested in connection with the Boston terror plot Thursday night, and on Friday, FOX25 dug into his background.
A MySpace page shows Rovinski living his life. A Twitter account using one of his alleged Islamic aliases, shows a young man draped in a head scarf, only revealing his eyes.
Property records show the Rovinski family has owned their home in an unassuming Warwick neighborhood since 1998. Residents are now reeling at allegations their neighbor is tied to the terror plot.
Prosecutors referenced Rovinski's YouTube activity in court Friday, where he liked videos on how to make a machete and a sniper rifle.
The affidavit says he also favorited Isil Jihadi "nasheeds" or chants.
Prosecutors say Rovinski met with co-conspirators, Usaamah Rahim and David Wright at his Rhode Island home and a nearby beach. The affidavit says Rovinski was even in touch with them the day police fatally shot Rahim in Roslindale.
That same day, federal investigators interviewed Rovinski.
He allegedly told them he converted to Islamic faith 2 years ago and was drawn to Isil because they represent the most pure and honest form of the religion.
Rovinski allegedly told investigators he was willing to provide Isil support for a "broad spectrum of acts."
