FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Police are searching the home of a Framingham man arrested on weapons and assault charges in Malborough.
Police say 40-year-old Andrew Josefek was seen outside a home on Boston Post Road East in Marlborough Tuesday morning carrying a gun.
He was immediately arrested. Police say that incident stemmed from a drug deal gone bad, which ended with Josefek demanding money and hitting someone with a cell phone.
Nearby, Kelly Walker, who identified herself as Josefek's girlfriend, was sitting in his car waiting for him. Police searched the car and found a shotgun as well as seven explosive devices, four of which were live.
Josefek and Walker were both arraigned Tuesday afternoon on charges of possession of explosives and unlicensed possession of firearms.
Local police, ATF agents and the State Police Bomb Squad spent several hours searching Josefek's home Tuesday. According to the Middlesex District Attorney, more firearms were found inside and at least one explosive was found outside.
Neighbors tell FOX25 they heard explosions in the area recently, but wrote them off as fireworks.
