Mattapoisett Police have confirmed the shelter in place was lifted early Sunday morning after a suspect was placed in custody.
Police did not say why they were searching for the person, and it is unknown at this time if the man is armed.

The department said they had asking residents to stay inside and lock their doors Saturday night, and are asking anyone with information or anyone who witnesses anything suspicious to report it to police.
