CONCORD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Over $600,000 of camera equipment was stolen from a local camera store Monday.
LensProToGo employees got to work at about 8 a.m. to find a smashed window and realized they had been robbed.
âWe hope they at least got to wear cool Mission Impossible outfits, but we sadly aren't sure of that detail,â the store said of those responsible in a release.
The release went on to say that an unknown amount of camera gear was taken, but they believe it was about $600,000. Mostly Nikon, Canon and Sony equipment was taken out through the smashed window and a hole that was made in the wall.
Owner Paul Friedman was sick to his stomach when he learned the news.
âThey knew we were here and the things we carried were high ticket items," he said.

The company says this was a big hit for them, but they are happy that a lot of their inventory was being rented at the time. Police and the company are asking people to keep an eye on Ebay and Craigslist for the items.
âWe host a lot of workshops here," Friedman said. "So there's been a lot of people in and out.â
Police are looking at every angle in their investigation. A robbery was reported at another camera store in Waltham this past weekend, but the thieves didn't get away with any merchandise. The investigation into both cases remains ongoing.
In the meantime, the store says they'll be working to fulfill orders and will contact their customers if any issues arise.
