(MyFoxBoston.com) -- There's concern that a feature on the iPhone's latest operating system could send phone bills sky-high.
The new WiFi Assist feature is located in the cellular tab under iPhone settings. It will automatically kick in a user's data plan if they are in an area with weak WiFi service.
Industry insiders say it could end up costing consumers who forget to turn WiFi Assist off. The feature could add hundreds to your monthly bill since most cell carriers no longer offer unlimited data.
Users who have updated to iOS 9 will be able to turn this off by going to Settings --> Cellular --> WiFi Assist.
