HAMPTON BEACH, NH — Once again Hampton Beach is hosting a Go Topless Day.

The Aug. 26 event is describing itself as a celebration of being topless, specifically for women.

"The idea is to come to the beach and go about your day normally," said the Facebook event.

The event is hosted by the Free the Nipple Group of New Hampshire, a state chapter of a national movement that works to raise awareness of the double standard that the women's nipples are "obscene and dangerous," while men's are not.

Last year about 200 women went topless on Hampton Beach. It was one of 300 other cities that participated in the celebration.

Unlike other states, it is not illegal for women to go without a shirt or bra in public in New Hampshire.
