Worcester Police searching for missing teen

WORCESTER — 15-year-old Sue Paye has been missing from Worcester for a full month, and Worcester Police are actively searching for her.

Paye disappeared from her home on Mason Street on January 9th.

Police say it appears she packed her clothes and saved her money for a trip and may have taken a bus from Worcester to New York City where she has relatives.

Worcester Police tell me they recently pinged her Sue Paye’s cell phone to Brooklyn, New York.

However, Sue Paye has not been located, and her family members say they have not seen her.

As each day passes, concern for Sue Paye grows.

“There is always a concern when children are not where they are supposed to be. Whether it’s with their parents, whether it’s with placement with DCF, things like that,” Worcester Police Lt. Sean Murtha told me. “Obviously, just because somebody chose to run away does not mean they are safe. The type of people they might be in contact with, the type of dangers they could be exposed to is tremendous, which is why we take this very seriously as the family does also.”

Worcester Police investigators are sharing Sue Paye’s information with NYPD, and they are entering her information into a national missing person database.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
