NASHUA, N.H. — The man who was found dead inside his Nashua home died from a single gunshot wound, New Hampshire authorities announced Monday.
David Smith, 49, was found dead inside the 19 Buck Street address around midnight July 8, according to the state's attorney general. Authorities were initially investigating the death as suspicious.
After an autopsy Monday by the chief medical examiner, Jennie Duval, Smith's death was ruled a homicide, the state's attorney general and Nashua Police announced.
A 911 call was made from Smith's roommate, who found Smith dead inside the house.
Police have been canvassing the area and looking through surveillance video from surrounding buildings, looking into the possibility of foul play.
