BLISS CORNER, Mass. — Two weeks after an earthquake was felt across southern New England, a smaller quake hit near the same area on Sunday south of New Bedford, Massachusetts.
According to the United States Geological Survey, a magnitude 2.0 earthquake struck at 12:48 a.m. on Sunday nearly 5 miles (8 km) south southwest of Bliss Corner in Dartmouth.
The depth of the earthquake was recorded at 3.6 miles (5.8 km).
