BOSTON — A young man has been arrested in connection with a deadly daylight shooting in Boston, authorities announced Thursday.
Billy Thien Nuynh, 23, of Boston, is slated to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on a charge of murder and firearms offenses, according to the Boston Police Department.
Officers responding to a report of a person shot on Blue Hill Avenue in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood just before 10:15 a.m. Wednesday found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
The victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Homicide detectives later identified Nuynh as the alleged shooter.
There were no additional details immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing.
