Victim in Friday’s fatal Cambridge shooting identified as city teen

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A 19-year-old man shot dead in Cambridge overnight Friday has been identified, according to local police and the Middlesex County District Attorney.

That teen has been identified as Xavier Louis-Jacques of Cambridge.

That shooting took place just after 12:30 a.m. on Friday morning on Pemberton Street in the city.

When police arrived on scene, they located Louis-Jacques suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near Rindge Field. He was transported to Mount Auburn Hospital where he later died.
