United Airlines plane clips another plane on ground at Logan Airport

BOSTON — A United Airlines plane clipped the tail of another plane Friday in an incident in an airline parking area within Logan International Airport, a Massport spokesperson said.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. when United Airlines Flight 369 was traveling “at a low speed” and made contact with a parked Delta Airlines plane.

No one was injured, according to the spokesperson.

United said the 128 customers and six crew members were able to deplane normally at a gate, adding that customers will be rebooked onto other flights.

A Delta spokesperson said the customers and crew on Delta Flight 1657 were not injured and they are working to get passengers to their final destinations.

This is the second time this year a United aircraft has been involved in an incident at Boston Logan.

Back in March, a United flight departing for Newark clipped another United flight that was set to depart for Denver as it was pushed back from the gate.

The incident remains under investigation.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
