DEDHAM, Mass. — A soaking summer weather system packing severe storms and heavy rain raised flooding concerns in many Massachusetts and New Hampshire communities on Monday.
Flash flood warnings were issued across the state, including in central and western Massachusetts, where roads were left underwater as downpours drenched the area. Southern New Hampshire was also under a warning for part of the morning.
As of early Monday afternoon, nearly five inches of rain had already fallen in some areas.
Here are some notable rainfall reports so far:
- Westminster, MA: 4.77 inches
- Nashua, NH: 4.26 inches
- Pepperell, MA: 3.44 inches
- Bedford, NH: 2.90 inches
- Sterling, MA: 1.63 inches
