Gillette Stadium dubbed top 5 ‘dirtiest’ venue in North American sports, according to new study

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — A new fan study has determined the filthiest sports stadiums in North America, with a Foxborough favorite just missing out on the top 3.

Betsperts analyzed fan reviews to find the top 10 dirtiest sports venues across the continent, using the number of food safety violations in each arena and stadium hygiene as their criteria.

RingCentral Coliseum in Oakland took the #1 spot with 4.2% reviews related to “dirty conditions” and Massachusetts’s own Gillette Stadium came in at #4 with a 2.8% rating.

Rounding out the top three was FedEx Field, home of the Washington Commanders at #2 and the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia at #3.

Here are the other stadiums that made up the top 10:

RingCentral Coliseum is most known for its “lack of cleanliness” and “unfortunate tendency to flood with sewage,” Betsperts said. Both FedEx Field and the Wells Fargo Center are criticized for their bathroom facilities and “persistent pest problems.”
