ANDOVER, Mass. — An Andover home was destroyed after a 3-alarm fire ripped through the house on Sunday afternoon.
Around 12:13 p.m., fire crews responded to 15 Somerset Drive where a $2.5 million house was shown spewing flames from the second-story windows.
When Boston 25 crews arrived on the scene, firefighters were working to knock down the flames and the surrounding hot spots. The roof of the home collapsed in due to the flames.
No one was at the home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.

A third alarm was struck at 12:40 p.m. after the fire continued to spread to the attic and the roof structure became heavily engulfed in flames.
The fire was knocked down and extinguished at 1:34 p.m. Mutual aid was provided on scene by Lawrence, Tewksbury, North Andover, and Wilmington Fire Departments.
The 9,500-square-foot home sustained significant damage and was deemed a total loss. No one was home at the time of the fire.The three occupants of the home are currently displaced.
The Reading, North Reading and Middleton Fire Departments provided station coverage for Andover.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Andover Fire Rescue and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
