BOSTON — A man is dead after he was shot and killed in Allston.
At around 10:26 p.m. police responded to a person shot at an apartment complex on Rugg Road.
When officers responded, they found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
“Just saw a lot of police activity, a lot of detectives started rolling up and I saw the crime scene unit show up,” Jeff Moulic said, who lives at the same apartment complex.
“We never heard any gunshots,” one resident said off camera. “This is surprising to wake up in the morning, hear something so crazy like this happened around our neighborhood.”
The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is leading the ongoing investigation.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending autopsy, formal identification, and family notification.
The apartment complex declined to comment.
