BROCKTON, Mass. — A man has died after he was struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail at Montello Station on North Montello Street in Brockton early Monday morning.
The Brockton Fire Department confirmed the accident occurred at approximately 5:50 a.m. The MBTA told Boston 25 News that a man was struck and pronounced dead due to the severity of his injuries.
Update: Middleborough Line Train 004 (5:50 am from Middleborough/Lakeville) remains stopped near Montello and is 40-50 minutes behind schedule due to police activity on the right of way.

The MBTA added that the facts and circumstances surround the incident remain under investigation, but it’s determined that foul play is not suspected. The Middleborough Line Train remains stopped near Montello Station due to the ongoing police investigation.
