Firefighter transported, 9 people displaced after 3-alarm fire in Worcester

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Worcester Fire Department responded to reports of a 3-alarm fire on May Street Saturday at approximately 10 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters noticed a heavy fire on the rear exterior of the building, with fire extending to all three floors of the house.

Fire officials told Boston 25 that 9 people are now displaced as a result of the fire and that none of the residents reported any injures. Officials added that one firefighter was transported for minor injuries to the nearest hospital.

The fire remains under investigation at this time.
