Dunkin’ and Starbucks reveal return dates for popular pumpkin beverages

CANTON, Mass. — If it feels a little early to be talking about fall flavors, some coffee lovers may disagree.

Canton-based Dunkin’ and Starbucks have announced the return of their popular pumpkin-themed beverages, signaling the unofficial start of pumpkin spice season.

Dunkin’ plans to launch its fall menu in just a matter of days. The coffee chain announced that its pumpkin-flavored drinks will return on Aug. 19, nearly a week before Starbucks rolls out its seasonal offerings.

Starbucks says its iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte will return to menus on Aug. 25, joining a lineup of seasonal favorites that have become synonymous with the fall months.

Leading Dunkin’s fall lineup is the Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, along with other pumpkin-inspired beverages and menu items.

The annual return of pumpkin spice drinks has become a highly anticipated event for fans, even as the summer heat continues across the country.

Whether Aug. 19 and Aug. 25 feel like the perfect time for pumpkin flavors or far too early for fall, one thing is certain: pumpkin spice season is almost here.
