Those charges were filed by the MBTA Transit Police in Brighton District Court. Turner is set to appear in court on October 6.
Twenty-seven people were injured in that July 30 crash, including 24 passengers and three crew members. On Tuesday, the National Transportation Safety Board released its preliminary report on July’s Green Line crash and derailment on Comm Ave.
According to investigators, Turner was going about three times the speed limit when he hit the other trolley in front of him. The data recorder shows he put the trolley in the full power position just before the crash.
