Death investigation ongoing after body found at home owned by Rep. Pressley’s husband

BOSTON — Boston police are conducting a death investigation after a body was found at a home owned by Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley’s husband.

The incident occurred around 1:52 PM, when officers responded to a report to investigate a person in the area of Malta Street.

Once there, officers found the victim, who was pronounced dead on the scene. As a result, the homicide unit responded to the scene and is investigating.

According to a spokesperson for Congresswoman Pressley’s office, neither the Congresswoman nor her family were involved in the incident.

“The Congresswoman extends her deepest condolences to the impacted family,” the spokesperson added.

According to records provided by the city of Boston, the nearly $920,000 valued residence is owned by Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley’s husband.

The home is currently on sale. The Boston Globe had spoken with the realtor of the home who said that the residence was listed last month and that the tenants who currently reside there have been there for some time.
