DA: Man dies following shooting in Malden

MALDEN, Mass. — Officials in Malden are investigating after a fatal shooting in the city killed a man in his 20s, according to a release from the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office. That victim has not yet been identified.

Police found that victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest in the area of Cross Street in the city around 12:10 a.m. Tuesday morning. He was transported to Mass. General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Police do not believe the incident was random.

State and local police are investigating the fatal shooting, along with the Middlesex County DA’s Office.
