FALL RIVER, Mass. — Officials are investigating after a convenience store clerk was found dead late Monday night.
Fall River Police were called to the Stop N Save convenience store on Rock Street just after 10:30 a.m. Monday for a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officials say the 911 caller entered the store to buy food when they found the clerk on the floor behind the counter with blood on his chest.
The victim, identified as 54-year-old Lal Kishor Mahaseth, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are investigating as a homicide and are asking anyone with information to contact Fall River Police.
