BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — Bridgewater Police responded to a two-vehicle crash that left a driver with serious injuries on Wednesday.
At approximately 3 p.m., police and fire received multiple 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle crash on Bedford Street near Administration Road.
First responders arrived on the scene and discovered a two-vehicle crash involving a Chevrolet pickup truck and a Volkswagen utility vehicle that was blocking Bedford Street.
The operator of the pickup truck was treated at the scene. The operator of the Volkswagen had to be extricated from the vehicle before they were flown to a trauma center with serious injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the pickup truck was heading southbound on Bedford Street and crossed the center line into the northbound lane, colliding with the northbound Volkswagen.
The crash remains under investigation.
