BOSTON — Police are investigating a serious motorcycle crash in Boston on Wednesday morning that prompted the closure of a busy intersection.
Officers responding to the area of Columbia Road between Glendale and Hamilton streets in Dorchester before 6 a.m. found a motorcyclist in the street, according to the Boston Police Department.
The victim, whose name hasn’t been released, suffered life-threatening injuries in the wreck, police said.

The area will be closed to traffic until further notice and motorists are urged to seek an alternate route.
There were no additional details immediately available.
