‘Belle of the Ball’ donates thousands of prom dresses to young women in Massachusetts

BOSTON — Thousands of local high school students went prom “shopping” on Saturday at the 19th annual ‘Belle of the Ball.’

The experience was established in 2005 by Anton’s Cleaners as an opportunity for high school students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford a dress to attend their high school proms.

this year, over a thousand girls have been nominated to get a prom dress.

The program reaches out to companies, schools, community groups, and individuals to donate their dresses for young women.

Students can also get accessories like jewelry and purses.

The sponsors are Jordans Furniture, Anton’s Cleaners, and Enterprise Bank.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
